Passenger Injuries

Whenever you pay your registration for a motor vehicle in Queensland, you pay a component towards Compulsory Third Party Insurance. This is designed to protect other people who are injured as a result of the fault of any person driving the vehicle.

If you have been involved in an accident and the passengers of the vehicle have been injured, the insurance is there to provide compensation to your passengers be they family members, friends, or others.

There is no penalty for the at-fault driver.
